Mother's Favorite Recipe for Pumpkin Pie (Brown's Best)

1 ½ cups mashed pumpkin
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup half and half
1 teaspoon melted butter
2 eggs
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix well.  Pour into an unbaked pie shell
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then lower the heat to 350 degrees and bake until firm and set.
